Thought I'd give it a try even after last weekends report from DB. No difference for me. Blanked on the crappie. Buck bass were everywhere and willing to bite. Water temp was 76. Lake manager said the lake was in the process of turning over. I knew when he said that the crappie would be tough. When you got your jig close to your nose, they smelled like dirt. First time I've noticed that during fall turn over. Another 10 days and 10 degree drop in temp should change it all.

Sounds like a good time even though the target fish weren’t cooperating.

A thump on the line is better than none at all
