I recently wired up my dash on my Ranger boat with new gauges and can’t firgure where the blue wires connect to,,,,they don’t seem to plug into the harness which was there,,,those wires show Brown, Purple, Black , and grey…
,,, blue wires seem to connect to headlight switch
The blue wire should be for your back light on your gauges

I guess I’ll run a separate wire to the light switch as shown
I have been considering putting mine on a seperate switch or put a dimmer on them. They are pretty bright and really work on your night vision
