1st trip for my birthday weekend.

Well partially my birthday weekend, after I finished my chores for the day. I hooked up the boat and off I went. Got the boat in the water about 6:00 p.m. and I headed up the creek, I figured the fish might be in the creek again still. Finding some fish to play wasn't that hard. I started out fishing docks, checked a few deep brush piles but all I could find on the docks were just yearling bucks. I couldn't find anything with any size. After about half dozen docks it was dark, and my trip to the ramp was dark to say the least. The moon was full, the sky was cloudy. After the wake boats and lake mosquitoes clear out is very calm and pleasant. One day I will figure out where I am falling short, no pun intended.

Time on the water will give you the experience that you can call on in the future. At least you didn’t get skunked and Richard Gene has many days when the crappie he catches have that eyes too close to the tail condition. So you are in good company. Btw, I get skunked a couple of times per year.

Well as we all know, 1 day of fishing was all I got. It rained out the rest of the weekend. But I enjoyed the rain and my birthday cake my fiancé bought for me. Thank you for the bday wishes.
