i have posted a few weeks back on suggestions on 6 1/2 ft crappie rods. well after 6 of them which all are Ok, i like about 2 or 3 of them for my type of fishing, some are heavy and only one is light. what are rods i might have missed that are LIGHT with a decent backbone and not whippy

Rods seem to be different for whoever is holdimg them. Some rods that everyone loves I do not like as much and vice-versa. Seems we have out own unique preferences in what makes a rod fish well for us. Seems very difficult to gauge
This is true. Which ones do you like? There is a huge difference between sling and fling and more of a finesse type of fishing.Quote:

after buying the one that this one liked or that one liked I’ll never purchase another rod that I can’t first lay my hands on to see how well I like it !:twocents
the lightest of the bunch is the ACC crappie rod, not he best for throwing 1/32oz jigs but i get by, with a bobber it is the best of the bunch. the second in my opinion is the BPS microlight. then the B&M Bucks all graphite these 2 are superb for slinging LIGHT jigs, and these 2 are heavier than the the ACC rod. also the 2 shakespeare 5 1/2 and 7 ft are acceptable, i was going to look into a ProAngler but at 5oz don't want to chance it, one thing i do notice from shore where i fish i have to get out there, the ACC with a bobber gets it done and also on long cast with 4lb mono on the hook set with all that stretch plus the bobber. the second and third place rods just don't hack it on the hook set like the ACC backbone. so at the moment i am liking the ACC, when i am on the boat fishing 1/32oz without a bobber i do like the second and third place rods, if i go to 1/16oz the ACC rod works i feel from shore at long distance, the hook sets are noticeably better the the stiffer Acc rod. so this is the reason i started the part 2, just curious if there is a rod somewhat lighter or as light to try as the ACC with just a slighter softer tip area
