Jumpers ?
We encountered a "jumper" yesterday , bluegill don't jump often but every once in a while one gets pretty frisky .
One yesterday took the air twice on it's way to be released , these particular bluegill seem to have more than the average pull for whatever the reason .
It may be oxygen content or possibly some form of survival mode they go into when in danger at that lake , but for sure when you hook one ,it is ON ! :highfive

Can't say I have seen them jump either unless chased.

It’s been a rare event for me as well. The times I remember it was catching a real nice one off of a shallow flat when they’re bedding.

Ketchn, I also witnessed couple such spectacular showmanship I recall mentioning in my earlier posts as well. My latest outing I encounter several ouncers taken to the air going for my dry flie presentation…[emoji4]
