Anyone fish either one of these 2 lakes for crappies this year yet?
I checked out Blueberry last Monday. Looks like the spawn is over for the most part. Still a lot of fish up shallow though.
so it sounds like you got into some?
Yeah, big time bite going on over there from about 6pm-8:30 :D. No monsters but most of the females where 10"-11".
slab so I leave on monday have a tourny on sat and if I fish on sunday my Girl wil gut me hows about friday afternoon down in your neck of the woods......
Friday might work for me. I don't get home until 7 but we could squeeze in a couple of hours for sure. What time does your tourney end? I was going to hit Sammy on Saturday as well but would have to leave around 1pm to make it to my brothers Graduation.
Hey has anyone hit up Harts lake? I seen some comments on it and that their where some active crappies however I haven't heard anything new! Hola back
I just want to say, that I am happy to be here among the Brethren! I know how to catch crappies, but where I can catch them from the bank, or my float tube is the question. I live in Seattle, but an hour drive after work is no problem. As long as I have a chance to be around some fish I believe I can catch some fish... so help a brotha out. I aint to old to learn a new trick or two. Please school me as much as possible. Thanks for any help you give!
Welcome to the board Crappieologist. Most all of the lakes around Seattle have crappie. Some are better for lots of fish, while others are good places to look for trophies. From a float tube I'd try Lake Dolloff right now. They should still be up in the brush there for another two weeks at least. I've seen them spawn up until the 4th of July some years.
If you have time on the weekends Ohop, Kapowsin, Tanwax, Union, Spring (in Renton), and Shadow are all good summer/fall crappie lakes that are pretty close to Seattle. Spring, Shadow, and Union will kick out a few trophies. All of the others are good for numbers
As of the 24th,there are still some fish to be caught up in the shallows at Larsen.
