Non crappie
But a good trip all the same. Up early and headed to Mosquito 🦟 Lagoon. Wonderful sunrise greeted me and light westerly winds. Tossed a top water for too long and only really had one cast that it got fooled with, but it did raise my heart rate. Started throwing away jig and noticed some wolf packs of fish feeding on a shoreline. Got lucky enough to be in reach of one of these blow ups and connected as soon as it hit the water. A good redfish gave me a good fight on the lightest rod in the boat. Some Ladyfish gave me some action, one pushing 36” but they all threw the hook while I was enjoying the fight. Fun just the same. Best part was dinner. He was over 19” and just enough for my Queen and I to enjoy. Thanks for coming along. Til next time, enjoy the pics……Skeet

Vacation next week and no better than I’ve done in the fresh lately, I’ll probably make another trip or two over there. Maybe the pole n troll zone. Most folks won’t make the 20 minute troll to get to new areas that aren’t as heavily trafficked. I’ll still be headed home by noon regardless. Heavy overcast today had me wanting to leave work and go throw top water.
