Sometimes when it rains it pours
Went fishing on 18th and finally got photo uploaded . What a day it was . I hit a pot hole and had a flat . Called Kena to come sit with my boat while I ran back to the house for a break over bar and floor jack . Changed tire then returned home and fixed the tire . Was raining and she could not believe I was still going fishing . Stopped for breakfast so I was really getting a late start .
One good note with school started and rain the lake was not crowded . I found several on cover but about as many suspended around the area. My counter showed over 75 fish and kept 30 . Mostly shallow bite using livescope . Same purple chartreuse Southern Pro Umbrella tubes on 1/8 th insert jig head . Swung in using Huckabee Phantom and Trident 13' jig poles .
Made a neighbor happy when I gave him my catch. :fish For the ones not seeing ice I had 2 gallon jugs in there but bag of cubes mostly melted . The fish being hot it helps to dump loose ice in layers even with jugs or blocks .:twocents
