A friend of mine has lupus and cant really be in the sun but loves to crappie fish. I was thinking of getting a crappie light so we can target them at night. I know next to nothing about crappie lights. What should i get?
Thanks!

Battery operated lantern would be my choice .... very light, so it's not cumbersome to carry. You could also wrap alum foil around one side to deflect the light away from you (which is what we used to do with gas lanterns). Just an option to consider.
Fished a many of night with a white gas Coleman lantern hanging over the water. Last time I went I used a Dewalt LED work light mounted on the side of the boat and pointed down into the water.
Richard Gene the Fishing Machine. Has a video where he does the same thing with a Kobalt brand light.
Attachment 407510Here is a photo of the bait ball under the light. Could see shad in a 20 foot circle around the boat
Looking for a light to use on Jon boat for crappie. Do you know which model the Kobalt light is? Thanks
Richard Gene the Fishing Machine has a good video explaining his setup.

Fishing from a boat or bank? If by boat i'd go with the firewater marine green Led submergible light. I bought the 25" 10,000 lumen one last week myself & it's bright & works great. I put mine out Saturday night & within 5 minutes it looked like i had thousands up. I like mine.
