Jig made weedless using thin wire
In June I posted the method for making a jig head weedless using a saltwater brand wire. I also posted the wire leader that was even thinner to make the jig pickerel-proof. Yesterday I was making more weedless jigs but wondered would the wire bend enough to expose the hook point on the strike.
This wire used for the leader initially turned out to be better: less rigid and easier to install:

It has just the right amount of spring that depresses when fish strike yet protect the hook from snagging. Can't wait to post photos of fish caught on different weedless hook sizes using this wire. The proof is in the catching!
