Was just wondering if anyone is flashing green at night for crappy if so how did you do
Good question. I made a few trips last summer to try them and am always able to attract a big bait ball, but have only managed to catch 1 crappie. I only use jigs, and have tried varying my depths but no luck. I do better during the day fishing vertically over brush piles.
I learned one thing last year while fishing at night: Never raise your green light out of the water after dark. I was immediately covered with thousands of mosquitos.
I have used them in the past. I built a green led light. It is bright. There was a huge bait ball around it. The crappie tended to be in the outer edge out of the light picking off the stragglers. The bait ball consisted of half dollar sized shad. I scooped some up with a fine mesh net. Those worked very well just outside of the light. I am sure the crappie were under the bait ball also
