Well my saga continues, but really it is getting better.( I think) Caught up around home and getting ready for a trip out west. Took a couple days to go up to check out and prepare the 5th wheel. While there I got to take my brother out fishing . Fished about 2.5 hours on one top. The results are in the pics. 5 best and the rest already cleaned for total of 20. Kept some a little small, but no apologies. Only the second time in a year I kept any and my freezer was out. So much for the fun, on to the stress. First let me say look up "vagus nerve" . Runs from your brain stem down to your abdomen. If irritated things get bad. We had just stowed everything and I just started trolling out to the channel to the landing about 15 minutes away. My brother coughed hard a couple times and I looked over and said "you alright?". Just then he spasmed twice and went out cold. I was sure he was gone. I got up and shook him and called to him and nothing. I was about to go into panic mode. All of a sudden his right leg kicked, he came to and said "where am I". I was trying to calm down and explain to him what happened, then he got nauseated and started dry heaving. I called his buddy and told him to meet me at the landing. I needed him to help get my brother up. He became very weak. At the landing my brother was looking awful. We had to get ems and ambulance and went to the hospital. They let me in after a while and he was doing better. All blood work and xrays and tests showed he was okay. The Dr. came in and explained what happened. The coughing stimulated the Vagus nerve and that suddenly almost stops your heart. Blood pressure drops. Then the brain says speed up heart. Dr. said you will faint every time. Looking back I think it happened to me once. Anyway sorry so long but just wanted to say God is good and thank Him for saving my brother. Also if you read this, thanks for letting me get this out. Y'all be careful out there and stay hydrated.(contributing factor) Some good came from this, my brother has found out the hospital though small, is good and he was recommended a good local Dr. The last pic is for Larry to see my doxie and fat chihauhau.
