My father and I had a good half day of fishing today on a central Florida lake. Afternoon rain patterns have started here, and that has cooled the water off a bit to 80 degrees where we were fishing. We managed to dodge storms today and had a fun day catching bass, coppernose bluegill, specks, bullhead catfish and an odd plecko catfish. I had the best success on a crappie magnet white/chartreuse with a 1/16 oz jig head. Flipped worms a bit and caught a few nice bass. Bluegill are bedding, judging by the red tails from fanning beds but haven't hit the jackpot just yet. Maybe next full moon!
