Kayak trip to Swan creek ( stick marsh )
Me and a buddy fished swan creek off sandy road last week. The grass is still too thick to fish at put in to 200 yards out.We could not get the bass or bluegill to hit at the spring, so we went back close to the railroad tracks. The white egrets knew where the fish were at :) We caught blue gill,small crappie and bass. Bass came an a horny toad and buzz bait. The bluegill and crappie came on the 1 inch slider.We left at 10:00 and had 10-12 bass and 15-20 gills and small crappie. All released for another day. Getting out to open water is a chore but worth it.
