In the 1960s we put fillets in 1/2 gallon milk cartons added water and froze them.. Then things got more advanced and we used Ziploc bags.. I got a vacuum 10 years ago and use it 90% of the time. I prefer the vac sealer over Ziploc bags.. I add fillets, vac seal, flatten the bags and can stack them in freezer.. When I want fish the flat vac packs thaw out much faster than Ziploc bags with water. I also process my own deer and wild hogs and again the vac sealer works well for that too.
