Anyone fish Lake Chesdin for crappie?

I don`t live too far from the Dinwiddie side of Chesdin and thought I might try longlining for some crappie. A few have told me to avoid it on the weekends due to the recreational boaters,etc.

No, I have only been out there bass fishing. I have been told by some of folks out here I fish with that its a good spawning lake for a shallow bite but its a bit tricky for a summer pattern. This is all second hand info and I am by no means an expert. Hope you tear into them though, definitely worth a trip or 3.

Was on Chesdin 2 days ago, not a real good crappie lake for size, mostly small. Better spotted bass lake than anything else.
