I have used 2 anchor mates for several years but now they are worn out so I need to update. I have a 20ft. Sea Ark and fish over brush a lot in 15 to 25 foot of water. These boats are roomy but really hard to hold still, especially in wind. I am looking at the Trac 40 remote and the Minn kota , How do you anchor and retrieve your anchors? I fish alone pretty often and the remote sure sounds good for the front of the boat. Do any of you have any experience with either of these anchor systems?
I have two Minn Kota's, one on the bow and one on the stern. Had them about 4 years. They work wonderfully, and yes, the remote is awesome.
Thank you for your response. I am leaning Minn Kota because of the the remote too.
CountryboyNC has them on his boat, too. He uses them 3 or 4 days a week.
And they are easy to work on too, I have repaired mine several times , parts are not to bad to find either.Quote:

I sure do appreciate the comments. I am going to order Minn Kota and a 30 lb anchor with the remote.
