Adventures of the fish Slayer

So after all the hoopla trying to get instructions for the fish finder, they are not allowed on the lake we were on. No biggie, team scofflaw did pretty darned good, 52 bream, one ring perch, fished from 7-12, and we came in second place, had a great time, after the first hour, in which I could not buy a fish. Trying to help my fishing partner out, I opened the cooler for him to pu this fish in, and it jusped right down my shirt. He did not offer to retrieve it, and I did not throw him over. Got much better when we were both catching fish, so much better I completly forgot my camera. :mad:

hey buffy what is the reasoning behind the no fish finder rule? ive never heard of anything like that.

I'm not sure, it is a little private lake, maybe they don't want anybody finding Nessie. :) their lake their rules. Heck there were no fish finders when I was growing up, 'cept my dad.

Fortunatley we've been friends (or relatives) for ages, second cousin once removed? His wife thought it was funny too. He is also the guy who launched the eyeball of a catfish that he dispatched with a little too much enthusiam right into my coffee. Begining to see a pattern....
We have fun fishng though.

Hang in there. If you can't use a fish finder, bring the fish to you with scent, or minnows in a mayo jar hung over the side.

Oh man the price of being 'cool' We have lived in the same house for 44 years, on a cute little pond. Most of the neighbors have known me most of my life. So today I am out with my fly rod & kayak one of the ladies on the far side of the pond was out with her grandson, since I was at school with the 'parent' I paddled over to say hey. The grandson is cute as a button 7-years old, and is going to fish wiht his grandad tomorrow. I had been tossing my white popping bug right on the shore, hooked a nice bream, he was SO cute, did I think he could catch one like that?? I was distracted and the bleeping fish was possesed, I reached to take the hook out and flip flip flip suddenly I feel a poke (ok jab) and the hook has been magicaly transfered to MY THUMB. Well, I do not want to ruin the kids looking forward to fishing with grandad, so I say "OW" grandmother says whats wrong?? I broke a nail, grandson just rolled his eyes, obviously thinking what a wimp, grandma on the other hand says how do you break a nail getting the OH you broke a nail!
Cut the line, apddled back home got the pliers and good as new, only really grumpy, grandad came flying into the driveway ready to drive me to the hospital, I was ready to go get that fish and eat him. Very glad I didn't scare Greg ( I THINK that was grandsons name)
I am going to ride my horse tomorrow and hope they catch that fish and eat him, fillet him slowly...
