Hard to see screen
Today I used my Garmin Striker Plus for the second time. I stink at this so far. I could not see the side imaging screen well enough to actually USE it. It was an overcast day. I raised and lowered the brightness. I tilted it and swiveled it. I changed color palates too. Nothing seemed to help. What have I maybe over-looked?

Were you turning up screen brightness, or brightness on the sonar settings? Just make sure to put the screen brightness on 100% Other than that Im not sure. Maybe you had the distance sitting too close and all you were seeing was water column? I run my side scan distance out as much as 4 times greater than depth. If im in 10 FOW I will adjust to around 40ft out on side scan. Maybe that will help.

Not sure now. I will check which one tonight. Thanks... I was so consumed by trying to fix it that I didn't get to fish much.[emoji852]

Try 455 khz instead of 800 as well. Generally 455 is better for long range, 800 and higher is better for close up detail.
There should also be a setting for color contrast that may help too.
