We are going down today to Raccoon for the weekend. I will let you know how we do. The water level is 3 ft below summer pool. 659.20
google usgs Cecil M Harden lake for lake levels. I hope that cold front didnt push the crappie back out to deeper water.

For your sake, I hope they didn't push them deep, too. Looking forward to hearing your report. Thanks in advance, be safe, and enjoy!
I would stay in Illinois. You have bigger crappie over there.

Good bite out there today. Water temps 55-58 for me, with some fish pulled shallower around spawning areas, but a lot of fish still staged out in slightly deeper water around 12-17 feet. Not much traffic on the lake, though I think a lot of the early boats had left by around lunch time.
WTG team9nine! :cheers2
We had the same as team9nine. fished Fri and Sat. Water temp 55-59. We caught them shallow (3-5 ft) and in deeper water 12 +ft. We kept 170 between 4 guys. They were a little on the small size most around 10 - 11 inches. The bigger fish came from the deeper water.
So has the spawn not started in the central Indiana lakes yet? Planning on heading the Cataract next week. Jim Strader was saying only a week remaining for Kentucky lakes.
My uncle was just down there yesterday with a buddy of his and they both caught limit. The spawn is moving up.
