I'm always looking for a good nylon line to fish. I've got Sunline Troutist in 3lb and it's good but it is a bright green. Anyway, is the Queenstar nylon good? Digitaka has it for fairly cheap.
What are good JDM nylon lines? I currently use 2lb SOS which is decent but I'd like to find something just a tad more sensitive. Maybe I need to try a JDM braid?
Edit..I've also got some Varivas Ester line but have been hesitant to even try it out..lol.
If you’re looking for a nylon line try the Twitch Master in the 3# test. It has very little stretch.....thin diameter. Pretty sensitive for a nylon line. I wish they made it in a 2# test but they do not. The Troutist lines are good also. The 3# test Twitch Master is probably out of stock but the 4# test is I think only .148mm in diameter. Much thinner than the SOS line...which has a ton of stretch. A few years back I took Chris Stewart’s advice on using Japanese lines......I’m glad I did and no going back for me. Oh...forgot to add.....Yodie is probably the best person to ask about JDM lines. He has certainly tried more than anyone I know.

Never heard of sunline. But, over in the valley several month's ago I was at a Cabelas and found some of that SOS 2# line, like it! Ultra light seems to not get much attention for much and to bad. I love what I have for ultra light reels and rods. Only problem here is finding decent ultra light line! I have used 4# for a long time now for no other reason than I couldn't find any 2#! Have that SOS 2# on my little Ocuma ultra light. Have it on a 5' Ocuma ultra light rod, Love it. Came up with a broken rod last fall and found a Shakespere rod/reel combo for about $20 that didn't think much about the reel but the rod would work. Then got home and looked at the reel closer and it is small. All it say's on it is "Crusader". tried it on a really fast Eagle Claw rod I have laying around. 6'6" eagle Claw Feather light, 2# to 6# line. Haven't tried it out yet, not much fishing right now around here. Never have liked Eagle Claw rods and can't imagine how I ever came into this one but should be fun with crappies once I get out after them this year. Gonna use a 1" cork float with a 1/64th oz jig. had a Mitchell 308 years ago on a 3206 rod that was my first ultra light and really miss it. Lost it on a fishing trip! Now I haven't seen a 308 in maybe 40 yrs! But have to admit, this little Ocuma I have is actually a bit smaller!
Used that little 308 when stationed in Germany in the service on Rod ang Gun Club lakes for stocked trout. Found line for it in the Base Exchange. crystal sewing thread. Made of nylon and at 1# on a fish scale it would break. I recall seeing a huge planter in the lake one time and actually got it to bite. Well learned a good lesson with that one, don't set the hook to hard, broke the line! Really enjoy my ultra light reels and rods and 2# line!
