Fellow JDM users,
I am looking for opinions here: received another rod recently and found the spigot in a somewhat unsatisfactory condition (image below). Looks like a few carbon fibers splintered, forming a groove that runs along the spigot. The factory seems to have caught it and made an effort to rectify the issue by grinding some of the material away, leaving a small flat area closer to the end. Though the groove is still noticeable elsewhere. This does not affect the fitting of the two sections in any way, but I do wonder if it will affect durability. It is possible that this isn't considered a substantial defect at all, but I don't have enough experience with this matter. Any thoughts?
