It is just a sonar unit, what im having trouble with is that when i set my lower depth to 30ft it will push everything to the top of the screen and then you cant see anything but a red green line at the top.

That red green band at the top is most likely surface clutter ... there is a Surface Clutter setting under the Sonar tab (higher setting = see more surface clutter — lower setting = see less surface clutter) ...Quote:
