Little research/scouting trip.

Lene, Theresa, and I took a jog over to the CC ramp to see if we could find some crappie long lining jigs. After hitting a few places with no luck we went looking around as rumor control said we may find some white bass in the area. Lene had not been there before and I had only been a couple of times but we went searching. Well once Theresa got Lene to listen :Rofl we went above the hwy 39 bridge and while we were looking around a blue bass tracker came by we asked them if they had any catching going on and they told us to put on a dark green crankbait and speed up our search. Well they gave us good advice. Good thing I had some fire tiger cranks because it was just a blast once we figured them out at times there was 3 rods banging around waiting to be reeled in. We had a lot of fun on a perfect to get out day and once I looked at the live well I said I had more than I wanted to clean so we started letting them go. 3 crappie hit the the cranks also 2 of them could have been kept but they all returned to the lake. Great day out and ended up at Red's for burgers when we were done. Thanks Lene and Theresa I had a great day.Attachment 397280

Great report, Thank you, I am a bit confused, which is easily and often done, as to my knowledge 39 is a long way from CC? Did you pull out and move to Sons Creek or maybe above 160 bridge? Thanks

Ok I am a transplant to this area. I remember being on hwy 39 but my buddy tells me it is the 160 bridge. Going to look it up but I believe him.

if you put in at cc you went under the 160 bridge. good walley fishing up there in may and june

I like eating whites but I can't get enough good meat from the average size. How do you clean them to avoid the skunky red meat?
