Green River Lake
Since all the rookies continue to ruin Taylorsville by making it ridiculous to fish i believe i will be heading to Green River to try. Fished it in late May for bass last year but never for crappie. Coming from Louisville what is best ramp where I can clean my fish. Also, good area to start. Not looking for specific locations but areas. Appreciate any advice. Worse case Rough River, here I come.

You will find Green River the sameway as Tville on Crappie. It is fished hard to. Be plenty of company. Holmes Bend place to start and ramp.

Rough has been hurt bad by the amount of fishing due to the pandemic. You can catch fish but the average size is way down. It needs a 10" limit and a reduction of keepers allowed. I'd say that's true about all the lakes in Kentucky. Every ramp at rough and Nolin were over flowing everyday of the spawn last year.

I’d say every lake has been hit hard because of covid. I believe as things open back up the pressure will drop back off. During the pandemic fishing was one of the only things you could do.

I know it’s very difficult to do but we have to show a little understanding, after all we were all rookies at one time. But you would think they all wouldn’t come out at the same time. Ha

Don't know when you are going but GRL is still about 12' over summer pool. COE just this week opened up the gates and was dropping it 1 ft. per day until today. Somebody said we might get 2" of rain tomorrow, so they dropped to 6" today even though it hasn't rained a drop. You might get in Emerald Isle.
