we have had to meet at the persons bank or credit union titles in hand.

I would ask the buyer to identify the bank and call them myself to ask about this! If the buyer refuses, then it could be a scam!
No. But they may want the hull ID number to properly quote a loan. I wouldn't hesitate to provide those but a picture of the title is not necessary.
I would not send them a picture....no way....smells like a scam or way to get your info.Quote:

I have had to send a copy of the title to a lending institution for a sale. The actual title is signed over at time of sale. Somebody just kicking tires wanting a title copy, not happening.
