Dale Hollow trip this week

Fished 5 days and was not the best trip i have had there in the past. Caught fish in 3 to 28 fow. We pushed jigs, vertical jigged brush and even went old school and floater fished. Caught very few floater fishing and mostly dinks vertical jigging. Most all came from pushing. Hot Rods tipped with scented slabsticks worked the best for us. Got a few pics. dale hollow is famous for it's smallmouths but have great population of big crappie too according to Brushpile fishing who has had a couple of recent shows there. nice few days for sure.

Dale hollow is a bit different, most of our crappie come from either trolling jigs or small crankbaits using planer boards or casting jigs to lay downs on 45° banks in creeks. Never much luck pushing jigs or standing timber with minnows. We've had better fish if fishing away from the boat (casting or trolling) vs fishing under the boat.
