Google searched for a "panfishing forum" & came up here!

I grew up farming in NW Missouri, have fished every since I can remember. Worked for 29 years as a full time small town firefighter, retired 15 years ago. Since I had to sell my farm with two Bass, Crappie & Bluegill ponds I'm back to fishing public water. We have several small lakes in our area that are in the 20-200 acre range & having had a small (6' X 12') pontoon in the past I wanted another pontoon. My searches led me to Hotwoods out of Grand Island NE. Took delivery last fall of this Lil" Sport 5' X 10": Attachment 394738 A few days of setting it up to suit my needs: Attachment 394739Attachment 394740

I was able to make a few trips out last fall before cold weather set in. Have since added a hinge to the tongue or easier storage & a longer tongue for easier loading/unloading.

I mostly use ultralight tackle with 6lb. line, 6'-7' graphite rods I've made myself & usually Slider grubs. Mainly fishing for Bluegill & Crappie but will take whatever's biting. I'm in it for the fun, but won't pass up a good mal of Crappie!

Welcome from North Carolina! That's a nice ride! I didn't even know they had small pontoons like that. It looks like it would be a great fishing platform. Congrats on wonderful first post as well. Glad you're here.
