Thanks to Alfahawk and Tattoodrew I got my hands on some jigs to see these jigs for myself. I pulled a few of my favorite hooks to make some comparisons. Even with my 60+ year old eyes I could see the wire diameter was thinner than any of the hooks I had, even the Orient Sun which was my favorite panfish hook. Despite the thin wire diameter these hooks are sturdy and very sharp. The hooks have a wider gap. A #8 has a gap like a#6, #6 like a #4, etc. Under UV light the hook practically disappears. Time to get inside one of these jigs so I broke out my lighter to melt the head off so I just had the hook. Due to the plating process with these it took twice as long as a regular head to melt and fall off. Down to the basement to see if this weird looking hook would fit some of my custom molds. I only checked five but was delighted that they actually fit in two which was fine with me. Got back upstairs and ordered some of these hooks from Digitaka. Was only able to get 10 packs so it looks like I'll have something to work with. Also ordered some glow heads as well in a couple sizes. Anything black wasn't in stock. Now waiting on the weather to cooperate to do some further testing. Stay tuned, not done yet but really like what I'm seeing so far.
