Eyes on jig heads
I'm a believer when it comes to eyes making a difference on a jig head and will increase your catch. Sometimes I just use an acrylic paint pen for painting a black eye on. But for heads that take a 3-D eye, I like glow or fluorescent eyes for most of my jigs because fish can see them better. But there are plenty of other things that work and this is about one of my favorites. These are Krystal AB eyes which reflect light very well .They are faceted so they reflect light at different angles. It's hard to get a clear picture because of this but they really shine. I use super glue to glue my eyes. I use the 3 and 4 mm sizes. Just another something that you might want to try and the best part is they are cheaper than the 3-d eyes.Attachment 394276Attachment 394277Attachment 394278Attachment 394279Attachment 394280Attachment 394281

I agree Jim, The eyes have a distinct value.

When I tie jigs with these eyes I can see the light reflecting off the eyes on my thumb and finger nails which blows my mind. Fish need to see it to eat it.

Those look similar to the little gemstones you can get at craft stores. I do not have any of the faceted eyes. I will check into them though. Thanks

I buy mine on ebay. Try Krystal AB. Also there is another one called nail heads. Both come in a lot of different colors. I've been working on some 1/24 custom pill heads with a recessed eye, using Krystal AB eyes and finishing with some duck feathers that I dye myself.Attachment 394284Attachment 394285Attachment 394286Attachment 394287Attachment 394288Attachment 394289
