Those should work fine on bluegill, my guess crappie will enjoy them too. Black red and dark green seem to do the trick for me in plastic for gills.
Those are nice, should work for a crappie or 2, bream will kill them.
Love those jigs. I gotta try that. Here is another way to tie them too. Actually you could leave of the feathers if that would help with the spider look. I just start a wrap or two of chenille then legs are tied on then one wrap of chenille and the back leg pokes out then a few more wraps of chenille to complete the critter. I have tried this with legs between ever wrap to make a centipede. I just did not like them. Keep up the good work.Attachment 393944
Bluegills should be all over them!

Looks like a flying Ant
A big yes to both species!! Nice jigs
Yes indeed. Case in point, many moons ago, while slamming b/g on tiny #10 hackled poppers I wondered why the numerous crappie didn't show up. Turns out they WERE there(@the show-just didn't like the "popper"corn):popcorn. After the popper's body fell off from productivity wear & tear, I decided to try a cast on my new, impromptu "wet fly/streamer" in the exact same area. You guessed it =Happy, Crappie Time!:yikes They were there the whole time and wanted sub-surface ONLY! Maybe 45 years ago but easily re-enjoyed.:HandsClapping
