Anyone have experience with the newer Speed Queen washers? It seems like people love them or hate them with no in-between. Ice storm killed my washer so need a new one tonight.

Good luck finding one. Appliances have been hard to get, since this past spring. Know of a person, that had to wait like 8 months to get her new stove.Ordered back in March, then got it in late October, only for it to have damage on it. They would only knock $100 off the price, so she said no thank you, order another, for what it costs.
I know what you mean. I needed a refrigerator back at Thanksgiving. 1 store told me their next shipment would be in March.

A little pricey but good washers.
We have a SQ washer and dryer. New in Dec. '19. TC5000WN + DC5000WG. When she remodeled the laundry room, her Majesty insisted on replacing a perfectly good 24 year old Whirlpool set. I tried to explain that they were better units than what she was buying. Although this proved to be correct, it fell on deaf ears. My research turned up this info. Until '17. SQ had good units. In '18 SQ "improved" the agitator in the washer. This resulted in poor performance. In '19, SQ went back to the old style agitator system. To offset this failure, SQ started a 10 year parts AND labor warranty program. I was able to get in this program. The washer is OK. Don't get fooled by the "normal eco" cycle. Doesn't work for crap. Only put on to pass EPA regs. Other cycles have good results. The dryer is a POS. After initial loading, it pounds and bangs until about 10 minutes run time. Takes this long to balance the load. Takes FOREVER to dry regardless of cycle choice. Repairman tried three times to find a problem. Finally gave up and wrote it off to poor design. Don't get sucked into the 3000 series. I don't recall what the issue was, but EVERYONE including the salesman said stay away.

get the Speed Queen Classic 3 washer. It is the old design that people adored for years and years. It will outlast you probably
We bought a speed queen washer, it's very good. Agree with mikey16335, don't even bother with the "eco" setting. Other than that, it does a much better job than our whirlpool did, it only lasted 5 years.
A friend used to service appliances and bought old machines from laundromats that were upgrading. Cheap. He found the only difference from a commercial SQ to a regular was the coin catcher. Gave him $50 for a machine that lasted forever. Used to be good stuff til they “improved”.
