Ball mount for Garmin
Have any of you tried the Scotty ball mounts for your electronics? I think I might try one for my Garmin. I know there are other brands out there but I really like their rod holders so I thought why change brands. Any experience would be appreciated.

We have one on our old Eagle 420, it works just fine. For our Garmin 93SV and Humminbird 998 we went with Ram with size D 2.25 Do not think the smaller Scotty would do the job for them. But it works fine and far less expensive on the smaller units. That's my two cents.

I used a Scott 1.5 inch on a 9 inch Garmin. It’s built cheaper than a ram mount, but it was solid. I went another route but would buy one again. I think it was a Scotty 163 ball mount.

Got two , one for a 7 inch one for 9 inch . Bass pro shop sells and recommends them . No issues . Not as sturdy but has warranty and half the price .

I just got my Scotty 163 ball mount. Fits my Garmin Striker 9 plus sv perfectly. I am impressed with the sturdiness also. I continue to be a fan of Scotty products. [emoji3]

I have been a fan of all things Scotty, until I mounted my Garmin on one of their DF rigs. I switched to the two arm Ram mount, no ball. It has two arms which can rotate and extend the range of motion and location of the DF. It is a rock solid solution for stabilizing a depth finder.
