Helix 7 non mega unit perhaps a dumb question

I have a spare XM 9 20 MSI T spare transducer. Would using it with a non mega Helix 7 SI GPS G2N unit give me a better picture. I know it will give me the temperature, but would it help, hinder or change the picture any? I realize I will not get mega as the head doesn't transmit at that freq.

The unit was a gift from an old fishing buddy. He has gone to Garmin.

There should be no danger in trying the XM 9 20 MSI T on a HELIX 7 SI GPS G2N as the frequencies match (except no MEGA transmit in that HELIX 7 SI G2N model) ...

Also ... the HELIX 7 SI GPS G2N cannot use the DI piezo in the XM 9 20 MSI T ... so DI views in the HELIX 7 SI G2N will still be blended DI from data received by the SI piezoes in the XM 9 20 MSI T ...
