I’ve been looking for some places closer to home so decided to try 8 mile creek yesterday. I was very surprised at how deep it was. There was anything you would want. Lay downs,grass deep spots. I fished from 10 till 3:30. Not a bite. But I will be back better prepared for the depth. Attachment 391062Attachment 391063

I don't know where 8 mile creek is, but that looks fishy! Always great to find some isolated waters with minimal pressure!
It’s off 157 in cullman. It feeds Lake Catoma. Starts out really narrow and then opens up nicely. I spent a lot of time just paddling to see what I could find. I thought there would be no way to get a boat in. But when I got back there was a guy and his young son loading a boat. But they were duck hunters. And they spent probably 30 minutes getting it loaded. Other than that I saw no one.Quote:
