Fished High Rock yesterday. The main body of water was a muddy mess. For striper fishing, I thought it was not fishable. Ive been 3 times this fall and it looked bad every time.
As someone who hasn't fished high rock alot, I'm asking if it is always this muddy?
Not usually. High Rock is the first lake of the Yadkin chain therefore it gets most of the mud. After the big rain a couple weeks ago, it has stayed muddy. I understand there are other lakes in the chain they have to control but if they would let the water down some now it would clear up.
It has stayed muddy longer than I would have ever expected. The rain today will prob mud it up for the next month.Quote:

The rock can be great in muddy water. It always muddies up after a rain. Seems more than the rest of the lakes probably because it is the first so catches all the mud. Just use bright colors and slow down a bit. Just have to put it right on them in the mud, but like gobbler said they are going to eat mud or not!
