Flint Creek Report 12/11 - West of Hwy 31
I bank fished Flint this afternoon from 2:30 until dark, and it was almost a fish about every other cast. Current was not too swift but decent, I found a place where the fish were stacked in behind a big blowdown that was breaking up the current.
It was about 50/50 bluegill and crappie. I kept about 10 fish total to clean for the freezer, 3 crappie that just did measure and some big bluegills. I’d guess I caught 20-25 crappie and only 3 of those were 9 in biggest maybe 10 in.
The bluegill were hitting just about any color you threw, but the crappie wanted only a blue & white tube jig or a Bobby Garland Blue Pearl Baby Shad. Water was really clear, visibility of about 12-18 in. I’d guess. Fish were hitting at 3-4 foot deep in about 6 FOW.

Damion I really just got lucky lol. I’ve fished this spot a few times and I’ve caught a few just here and there. They all decided to stack up in there and were biting really well.
Had a fried crappie and bluegill lunch today with the Mrs. It’s hard to beat it when it’s fresh!
