Question about Daiwa Luvias FC LT2000S
Hello All,
I recently had a weird experience with the above-mentioned reel. I carefully took apart the bail arm assembly, just the side plates and the joint, not the line roller, to have a look and make sure all is well. I rinse reel every time I fish (saltwater), and figured I'd keep an eye on the water-accessible parts. All looked good, I carefully put everything back together, and set the reel aside for a couple of weeks. Yesterday, while preparing for an outing, I flipped the bail arm and heard (and felt in my hand!) ribbing of the assembly parts in the joint that connects it to the rotor. Not critical, but really annoying. Oiled – no change, greased – no change. And then I found that if you turn the tightening screw about 1/4 turn back, the rubbing is gone. Is it then not supposed to be tightened all the way? Has anyone experienced anything related? Note: I have Daiwa Luvias FC LT2500S with the same assembly, and it does not matter how tight I go with the screws – no rubbing in the joint...
Thanks in advance.
