Night fishing ?

Is it too early in the year to start night fishing for some crappie or white bass? I will be in the big bear bay area over the weekend and wanted to try some night fishing. Does anyone think it would be productive. Would the mouth of the bay or around the creek channel be good? I know where there is a couple of brush piles in about 12 ft of water with another one in 18 ft of water. If I anchor in between them, both would be fishable at the same time and they are just off the creek channel. Any and all suggestions would be greatly apprieciated.

i think it a little early, but you never know, it is close enough to the perfect water temp i would try anyway, good luck and let us know.
