Just wipe it off with a paper towel.
It’s anise oil, and it doesn’t need to be removed. You can actually buy bottles of it to add to soft plastics.
they use mineral oil in some of the shops around here to get the plastic to release from the mold .
and in some cases they use other oils as well . one guy uses garlic oil and them baits ketch fish .
the oil on your baits is likely neutral in scent is my hopes .and maybe it is even enhanced .
some folks use things similar to slab sauce in odor when they bag them and
some oils dont have much odor and crappie feed on oily fish anyway .
dont fear the oil is my thought
Don't worry about it, it is mineral oil, no taste or smell.
I usually add a little bit to my plastics to keep them from drying out also a few squirts of slab sauce.
