I have seen those hooks and was tempted to try some, but have always been able to get by with a regular palomar knot with the tag end run back through the eye of the hook to make it stand up right.
Who knows, I may still order a few just to put 'em through the paces and see how they perform.
Special K... I tie up the same as you but the selling point for me is line twist. Also I think that the lure/bait will have more movement. Who knows [emoji780]

I tried them a few years back when fishing deep water structures for smallmouth bass. They did not work as well as my standard Gamakatsu drop shot hooks in my opinion. Haven't used them since. They just didn't hold on as well with the powerful runs and jumps of the sm bass. Might work for crappie though.
Thanks Crestliner. My main use would be for saugeye using Flukes or Charlie's Sliders. Now I'm not sure about them.
