Jordan Lake--Ebenezer Boat Ramp

Two different individuals told me yesterday that they drove by Ebenezer and the gates were open. I sent to the Jordan Lake State Park website and it had the following information. Are they just late in updating the website or is it really open?

• All swim beaches closed
• Ebenezer boat ramp and day-use area closed
• Seaforth day-use area closed
• Parkers Creek day-use area closed
• White Oak access closed

Please note that campgrounds are following the normal operating season schedule, so some campgrounds may be closed because they would normally already be closed for the season.

I believe these closings are "arbitrary and capricious" as a matter of law and are nothing more governmental overreach at it's finest.

My favorite was in March when they closed Jordan so 15 million boaters showed up at Harris. Great thinking!

The wife and I put in there this past Sunday to cruise a little and test out the new prop. There was barely anyone in the parking lot, had the ramp to ourselves basically.

Since this does affect North Carolina Fishermen's Ability to Go Fishing... specifically CDC Member's (NC Board's) ability to chase crappie in NC... I bring this response, not as a political rant, but as an obstacle much like any weather event, mechanical breakdown, physical limitation or any other obstacle that would be proper subject matter for this forum that prevents us from pursuing what we all love to do.

IMHO: If certain things happen with this bogus election BS... the "so called" president elect is already forming his cabinet and they (he) and (the talking heads that he plans to appoint) are already forecasting stricter and more mandatory covid shutdowns and imposing the typical democrat over-regulation on everything they see, including Covid 19. In addition to Governor Roy Cooper's spinelessness, endless shutdowns and overreach in this area over the last many months... I feel reasonably sure that all of the State Park Boat Ramps will close again if Biden takes office... and for who knows how long. I believe this will be just the beginning of a great avalanche of stupidity yet to come if this "so called" election stands. I have written and mailed a 10-page complaint on the very subject to 12 different government offices here in North Carolina in protest.

I am, always have been, and always will be against anything that impugns any right or liberty I (or anyone else) enjoy(s) as an American Citizen. As President Trump often says: "Let's just see what happens."

If they do such then I say we take the gates down, what are they gonna do put them back we’ll guess what we’ll come takem down again they’ll get tired of the nonsense as we have already become, ya’ll raise an eyebrow I’m sure, but there is coming a time in the very near future where compliance with there nonsense is gonna have to stop, we’re getting pushed around because we are allowing it, this idiot puppet governor we got thinks he can even tell us what we can or cannot do in our own homes on the holidays, not only do we need to audit our presidential votes but the states governor votes aswell, like last election when cooper was losing and 9000 votes mysteriously appeared, there is no telling how long this has been going on, it’s just never had this much light shown upon it, Sorry for getting off topic, this mess gets me wound up
