I would also suggest get in any creek down from there and look for shad jumping for their lives. And look under that. Bring a BIG cooler.

You can also rip a rattle trap thru the jumping shad and wear your arm out. Watch for birds they're usually in the middle of a jump of shad as well. A silver spoon below the dam works very well too!
I never fish for them, but find them stacked in the creek mouths in late winter early spring. When you find them you can catch them all day!

Anything white, Spoon or blad baits. Not familiar with guntervill but they are the same on most lakes. Like most fish they are easy to cat if you're not trying to. I catch buckets of them when crappie fishing but probably couldn't catch one if I target them.
