Put in Chickasaw ramp today and ran up to water Valley . All was good . Started to switch from maps to side view and the screen was blank . Back light on but could not go to any screen or even turn off unless you held on for a spell . Is there a way to power on if my buddy had put it on sleep mode rather than off ? Thanks for any help given . This is a Garmin Echomap UHD that is two months old .
This is a common issue if you don't know that momentarily cycling the power button runs you thru all the brightness levels. Happened to me. Just quickly press power button until full brightness, and leave it there. From the manual:
Adjusting the Backlight
- Select Settings > System > Display > Backlight.
- Adjust the backlight.TIP: From any screen, press https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webh...6BAE2-high.svg repeatedly to scroll through the brightness levels. This can be helpful when the brightness is so low you cannot see the screen.

Was not the issue . Would get brighter and dark but no home page ect . Will send back tomorrow .
