Can one unit be used as livescope and side imaging?

Sorry for all the questions, trying to make sure I'm on the right path. Looking to start off with two 93SV units and get the livescope a little later. Can the bow unit be set up to swap back and forth or would it require connecting/disconnecting? I'm wanting to be able to use a bow unit to get to waypoints, then use the livescope when I'm targeting structure. Or would I need to use the livescope as a standalone system and have another at the bow to communicate with the console unit?

Network them and you'll be good to go. What one sees, so can the other.

You can network them using a the simple ethernet cable. you would have to buy an ethernet cable and network box (search gms10 box) because the 93sv only has one single port and you need two (one for livescope and one for network).

If you wanted a poor man's livscope you can buy one 93sv unit and two cradles/bail mounts and extra power cable (about $75). Then you simply unclick the unit out of the helm and click it into the bow cradle for livescope. It adds some to your patience.

Thanks guys. I’ll definitely go with separate units for bow and console. Namely seeing if it’s worth getting a transducer for the bow unit, for when I’m not using livescope. If there is ever a time that I would use di or si instead. I’ve never really used electronics to their capacity, but plan to learn some as it will increase my success.

I can tell you that a dedicated bow transducer would get very little if any use if you have livescope. Speaking from experience!

Just an FYI I see a few places are marking down the 93 uhd with gt54 to $950. The transducer alone will sell for $200 or more so just buy the package and sell off the ducer if you decide you don't need it.

I see they are moving to a 56 transducer, so not sure how that is going to affect pricing. I’ll call Brian tomorrow. I’ve been racking my brain. I have a $4,000 budget and my initial wish list slightly exceeds it. Been debating on live scope vs trolling motor initially.
