Here we go again.
Just finished roof repair today. Just ordered fence boards today. Haven't paid as good attention to the storm as I should have, Still no cable/internet. Oh well hooking up the new 5th wheel and heading north west tomorrow. Not sure Louisiana is the place for me. If we ever catch up, I sure am going to try to go fishing.
I'm tired boss.

They are now saying this may bump west to the Lake Charles area. Like they need another one this year. Wow. Prayers up for those in the path.

I know what you mean, I have an outside wall down exposed insulation and new roof material will be loaded and sitting on a trailer in the yard waiting for this to pass.

And I forgot to mention it gonna pass rite over the top of me. Just great.

Unreal Danny. You've gone through so much. Stay strong, it can only get better from here on out. What color big decal you need for the new 5th wheel?

Danny and the rest of you, I feel for you. A few days ago I was sick with the thought of it hitting us as a cat 3. I haven't slept or ate well since. Now that it's heading west toward my friends I don't feel any better. I get flashbacks of Betsy and Hilda, two storms that I rode out. Betsy is so vivid in my mind because a week later a friend ask me to go help him find his aunt in New Orleans whom they had not heard from or found her name on any of the death list that were out. We drove over the Huey P. Long bridge and a mile or so on 90 east. We parked the car and paddled my little bateau nearly 7 miles to her house, sometimes we paddled right over houses with only the TV antenna above the water. We found her and her dog in the attic surviving on dog food and she was down to her last can. The water had risen to within inches of getting into the attic. Praying hard for all of you.
