Posted this question in the Tech forum but no response, so giving my KY CDC friends a try. My remote went bonkers, contacted Minn Kota and they are replacing it under warranty. But it comes without instructions on how to PAIR the new remote with the Ultrex. Another question, will I need to PAIR and re- calibrate the Heading Sensor ? Any help most certainly appreciated. It's crappie season again.

Thanks for posting these links, always helpful to have on hand. Unfortunately neither of these manuals (that I can find in them) indicate how to PAIR a new remote to the trolling motor.
Is your remote the digital variation with the LCD screen or the older button only version? If it’s the new Link Minn Kota has me go into settings, select pair on the remote with the motor off and on top of control head hold the pair button, turn power to motor on and wait for the buttons and chimes to do their thing. This was on my terrova but was the same on my buddies Ultrex. Hope that helps
