Just in case you didn't know
They put up a NEW sign , wouldn't want anyone to drive right off into the water with labor day coming right around the corner :Rofl
Kiddo said hey dad , we should keep a few for dinner .
I said ok we can put them right in the ice chest .
She said with my juice boxes ? :yikes:Rofl:Rofl
First drop she hooked something real large and it was pulling hard and giving her a run for the money .
I thought one of the local bass no doubt .
Then up on top comes a BRUTE black crappie and I went into the oh my sweety bring it this way mode .
I kneel down to lip it and KABOOM jig pulls out about a foot from my hand
Next pitch we are in business and she puts one in my hand and a white crappie goes in the box .
I grab a rod and make a pitch and up comes a micro crappie and guess who starts poking fun at my baby crappie !
Well its a 103 outside and feels like 150 and the crappie QUIT !
Told her best get busy on the bluegill and put a few in the box or we won't have dinner .
She proceeded to wear them down every drop and I said hey we got 4 decent bluegill and one good 12 inch crappie ....that's enough for us ,lets hit the trail :cheers2
Drove around the area and counted a few deer and home we went to have us some fried fish and tater tots and corn on the cob .
Was good times , we left Mom at the house and we ketched grasshoopers to feed our chickens and of course stopped by a local spot when we left ....
and got us two large blue raspberry slushes to blue our tongues and chill our insides a bit .
filleted em when we got home and cooked dinner and even washed the dishes .
Moms day off was fun
KABOOM is the word yawl
