Here is about the largest and smallest that we kept. We took hme 8 of these and a had a little trouble getting to them because of all the blue gill and one red ear. Oh well, I won't complain about a day you can go out and catch 30 or so in a couple hours...These were caught in a freeway pond between Lonoke and Carlilse.

The weather looked great! You can't complain on a day like that! Plus you caught over 30! Great catch Longarm! Do you catch white crappie also down there?

Nice looking fish you got there, and the numbers sound good too. Being a freeway pond, i bet it doesn't have a lot of structure in there, and if you were to put a few condo's in there, I bet you could really tear them up. Congrats on the catch and thanks for the post.
There's no tellin' how many folks drive by that place everyday and don't give it a second thought. You just proved to us that we can also find some good fishin' in off the beaten path places. Thanks for sharing...
The boat is a Basshound from Sam's. I think it was around $800.00 and comes with a trolling motor. It belongs to the guy I was fishing with so I don't know for sure. I do know its 10.3 feet long and perfect for two people. You sit close enough together that the guy in the back can fish the same spots as the guy in the front. The problem is that it weighs around 400 pounds so there's no real loading it in your pick-up.
We did catch some whites, but they were all really small, maybe last year's crop.
As to the owner of the property, I don't know. I was tagging along with my wife's cousin, and he called someone named Barbara as we were on the way to let her know we would be there.
