Some of my wife's family is going on vacation to Lake Weir and they asked us to go down for a few days. I have never fished this lake but I am debating on taking my boat to try some spec fishing. Can anyone give some advice?

I lived in nearby Ocala from 2000 to 2006. I didn't fish there much but I remember It's a clear water lake with some deep water. Probably gonna be a lot of watercraft running around there this time of year. I'll send you a PM.
